Updating of Guyana’s National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP) and Preparation of the 7th National Report to the Convention on Biological Diversity

UNDP is seeking the support of a team of Technical Specialists, ideally through a consultancy firm, to support the revision and updating of Guyana’s National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP) and the preparation of the 7th National Report (7NR). The work is to be done in alignment with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF). The firm will address critical gaps in biodiversity governance by conducting comprehensive assessments, providing actionable recommendations, and aligning policies and strategies with national and international biodiversity goals. The firm will aim to create an enabling environment for effective biodiversity conservation and sustainable use, with a focus on coherence, institutional effectiveness, and stakeholder collaboration. The duration of the assignment is 9 months. The assignment location is Georgetown, The Co-operative Republic of Guyana. The language required is English.
