Data deletion instructions
Last updated: 20 October 2026
You can request deletion of your tenders.gy account or personal information, including connected Google sign-in information, WhatsApp contact details and push-device subscriptions. These instructions remain available while the site is undergoing maintenance.
1. Request account or personal-data deletion
- Email hello@tenders.gy from the email address associated with your account, using the subject “Data deletion request”.
- Tell us whether you want to delete the whole account or specific data, such as a Business Profile, saved searches, Google sign-in connection, WhatsApp number or push-device registrations.
- For WhatsApp, include the number associated with the alerts. For push, describe the browser or device if you only want one registration removed. Do not send passwords, notification subscription addresses or keys, access tokens, MMG PINs, one-time codes or identity documents in your initial email.
We may ask you to confirm ownership of the account, number or relevant team resource before acting. We will reply about the request, its scope and any information that cannot be deleted, including why it must be retained. Workspace owners should contact support to coordinate account closure and billing; self-service deletion may be unavailable while the account owns a subscription workspace.
2. What deletion covers
Depending on the request, account deletion may remove access, tracked tenders and searches, default-search preferences, follows, supplier watches, alert subscriptions, WhatsApp contact details, push-device registrations and linked sign-in information. Business Profiles and shared searches may be affected differently depending on ownership and team permissions. Deleting one member’s account does not itself delete another person’s account; shared organisation records may remain. We consider other users’ rights when handling a request.
Include unpublished tender drafts or uploaded publishing documents in your deletion request if you want us to review those records too. Published notices and documents are handled as public procurement records under section 6.
Removing a Google sign-in connection does not delete your Google account. Removing WhatsApp contact details does not delete your WhatsApp account or copies of messages already delivered to you or other recipients. Browser, device and messaging providers handle their own records under their policies.
3. Stop alerts without deleting your account
Each user, including each team member, manages personal delivery settings in Alerts & Notifications. Saved searches reuse the same account destinations and enabled push devices; individual searches also have their own channel subscriptions.
- Email: change account preferences or use the unsubscribe link in an alert to stop optional tender alerts to that address. Essential account, billing and security messages are handled separately.
- WhatsApp: reply STOP to stop alerts to that number across alert subscriptions, or turn WhatsApp alerts off in your account settings. Re-enabling after STOP requires a new opt-in and verification.
- Push: use Disable for the enabled browser/device in Alerts & Notifications, or revoke permission in the browser or device settings. Disabling one device does not automatically disable your other devices, email or WhatsApp.
Stopping alerts is not a data-deletion request. Using Disable in Alerts & Notifications marks the server registration inactive rather than immediately erasing its stored subscription address, keys and device label. Inactive registrations do not currently have a fixed automatic purge period. Email support if you also want those details removed.
4. App removal, cancellation and account deletion are separate
Uninstalling the web app or clearing browser data does not close your tenders.gy account, delete server-held information or cancel billing. Installation also does not automatically enable notifications. Use the account controls or contact support for those separate actions.
If you have a paid subscription, tell us whether you also want it cancelled. A deletion request alone does not confirm cancellation of a processor’s recurring payment or approval of a refund. Confirm cancellation through Plan and billing or with support. See our Refund and cancellation policy for the applicable refund windows and payment-specific renewal rules.
5. Records that may remain
As explained in our Privacy policy, limited records may be retained for accounting, refunds, payment disputes, fraud prevention, security or legal compliance. These may include transaction and invoice records, payment evidence and limited audit or suppression records needed to honour an opt-out. Backup copies follow their retention schedules rather than being removed immediately.
Completed email, WhatsApp and push message content follows the current 90-day communication-retention setting described in the Privacy policy; this is separate from push-device registrations and limited delivery metadata. Pending or blocked delivery records may remain longer. Providers and recipients may retain their own copies, which account deletion on tenders.gy does not automatically erase.
6. Public procurement records and other people’s information
Published tender notices, bid openings, awards and connected supplier histories are separate from your private account data. Deleting an account does not automatically remove those public procurement records. If you seek correction or removal of personal information in a listing, email hello@tenders.gy with the listing URL, the information concerned and supporting details. We review the request in light of its source, purpose, applicable law and other people’s rights.
Notes and discussions
Use Remove on a note to hide it from the discussion; authorised authors or the account owner can restore shared contributions. Removing a bookmark or saved search preserves associated notes. Recover removed searches or export accessible notes from the Notes archive on Tracked tenders or Saved searches. Leaving a team revokes access but does not erase shared discussion history. Permanently deleting a user removes their private notes and replaces authorship on retained shared contributions with Former team member. Permanently deleting the owning account or Business Profile removes its discussions and notes.
